I am a knitter. I have been asked by two of my friends to make them hats similar to one I made for myself, unfortunately I told them the wrong yarn to buy by mistake. Instead of telling them to get "Caron Simply Soft QUICK" I told them "Caron Simply Soft." The info for SSQ is "super bulky" and recommended needle size is 11. For Simply Soft the info is "medium" and needle size is 8. When using SSQ I knit on size 8 needles in the round and cast on 84. Does anyone know how many I would have to cast on with the Simply soft? again, simply soft is medium weight and recommended needle size is 8. Thank you.
