Natural fibers verses synthetic fibers? Im doing a science project and I dyed fabric and yarn both synthetic and natural but I can figure out why the natural ones had kept the dye in more then the synthetic...my mom said I should go on here and ask why....help please! Most synthetic fibers don't hold conventional dyes well at all, mainly because they're plastic, and won't absorb the dye. Natural fibers always will dye much easier, because they absorb the dye.
