What's the cheapest and easiest way to make a center-pull ball of yarn? I've heard of the nostepinde but it looks kinda hard to operate. Does anybody at least know of a video I can watch to get the art down? The Hatchtown Farm website has a really clear explanation of how to use a nosty. It's pretty easy, just concentrate on keeping the yarn in a flat little "cake". Also, you don't really need the fancy carved nostepinde, you can use any tapered cylindrical-shaped object -- a tube of mascara makes a good nosty in a pinch. Have fun!
