 What is a fair price for yarn at a yard sale? My Gramma passed away a couple months ago and she was a big knitter. We have hundreds maybe even thousands of balls and skiens of yarn. My mom and I are having a yard sale to get rid of some of the stuff but we don't know how much is a fair price for it. There's all kinds, baby yarn, acrylic yarn, cotton, wool, polyester, mohair, silk, sock yarn, rug yarn. Some are brand new, but some are like little balls that are wound up in balls. If anyone can offer some advice or prices they feel would be fair I'd appreciate it. Thanks! The mohair and silk yarn I usually pay about $2, a skein for the rest about 50 cents, the little balls throw in a box and sell by the bag, like 5 for a $1or more. This is what I usually pay for yarn in my area, somewhere else might be higher. |
