Yarn Ball

Any truth in that using a rubber core ball rather than string/yarn core will hurt your aluminum bat? My son has a new $200 aluminum bat and I don't want it to lose its pop. Most balls have a cork and/or rubber core which is wrapped in "yarn" or string. I have never heard of a ball having a yarn core. Some balls have a rubber center and some other material in place of the yarn, plastic or something like that. None of those balls will do any more/less damage than any others. Your son's bat will eventually lose it's pop no matter what, but make sure that when he starts hitting with it that he rotates the bat about 1/4 turn each time he hits until the bat is good and broken in. That will help to eliminate possible denting. And make sure that he only hits baseballs with it, not rocks or something like that...lol...

Cat Training Supplies You Need for Your New Kitty
