Latch hook rug - not a kit? For 4H, my son is signed up to make a latch hook rug, which he's done before, but it can't be from a kit. Are there stores that sell the "background thing with the little squares", and patterns (or are there sites that let you download free patterns)? And do stores sell yarn in little bundles, or would we need to buy balls of yarn and cut it to size? Any input would be appreciated, thank you. Thank you. We live near Lansing,MI and they have Michael's and Hobby Lobby. We'll check both of those out. I am sure that any good craft store would have the bundles and the latch hook cloth sold separately. I go to a store called Hobby Lobby that has most everything I need. There is a store called herschners and they have a website. What I might suggest is that you go to one of the search engines and put latch hook supplies in and see what you get. I have also gotten lots of free crochet patterns on-line, so I cannot see why you would not be able to do the same with latch hook patterns.
